In December of 2023, Refund Raleigh announced that we won the demand to build Raleigh an alternative crisis response program entirely independent from the police. The City of Raleigh has made us key thought leaders, along with other community organizations, to develop this program. We've been partnering with the city to carry out a community engagement process, with various listening sessions and workshops around the city. 

The city wrapped up this part of the process on March 10th and is now developing their reports. However, that doesn't mean Refund Raleigh's community engagement stops. Our mission is still to fight to ensure this program is implemented in the proper way, centered and led by community!
